Second Stitch is a sustainability initiative founded by Ashvik. It collects old and used school uniforms and clothing, recycles the material into yarn, uses that yarn to create new clothing and products, and donates them to communities.
The project brings together sustainability, textile recycling, the circular economy, entrepreneurship and community impact — with recycling delivered in partnership with KISWA.

Sustainability shows up across Ashvik's work rather than sitting in one place — in a textile recycling venture, on cleanup dives, in a scholarship, and in the way community initiatives are designed.

Cleanup dives put the problem at eye level. What ends up in the water started somewhere on land — discarded, unwanted, and never designed to be recovered.
Second Stitch works on the same problem upstream: intercepting textiles before they become waste, and putting the material back into circulation as something wearable and useful.
Same problem, two ends of the cycle. That is the argument the two projects make together — sustainability as a habit that runs through the work, not a badge attached to one part of it.
